Ghostbusters (2016) - 20%

All about girls having their dreams of being with Chris Hemsworth come true.
It is a movie that, I guess.. appeals to women. It was pretty goofy.
There was a scene or two that made me laugh.
It started out good and about 1/3 of the way I thought to my self  "this movie is alright."
Then it went south... and the rest of the movie took away any hope that it had.
It was boring and painful to watch.

Really enjoyed it.

The style, character development, story was all good.

Felt a little like X-Men sometimes...
Lots of time loops and time traveling so as per fairly complicated.

Rogue One - 95%

Better than Episodes 1, 2, 3, and 7.

I was surprised at how good it was.

Least favorite character was K-2SO. Felt very O.P. Would have been cool if the good K-2SO got into a fight with a bad K-2SO and the bad one won and took out a few of the good guys,

I thought they did a good job with Tarkin and Leia. Leia was better. If they didn't give Tarkin so much screen time it would have been better.

Great story. Wife said it felt a little shoehorned.

I thought it was dumb how they had no hesitation about blowing up all the archives and that they were stored all in one place and in a silo for them to climb around on. Back ups and self-destruct data would have saved the empire a lot of trouble.

The ending felt like the Pompeii movie.

 Chirrut Imwe was annoying.

 Cassian Andor was cool with his personal conflicts.

It definitely left with a sense of hope about future Star Wars movies.
Episode 7 was such a disappointment...

Great build.

Somehow, I managed to miss one of the white slip gears and didn't notice until I had completely finished. Had to take the entire front end apart to get it in.

Wish it had a little more motorized functionality... The crane is mostly manually operated.
The alternate build looks about the same.

I mainly bought it because it seemed like a good deal with the sale.

Dr. Strange - 95%

Fantastic visuals. Really made the buildings seam alive.
Great character development.

Marvel has retold the same story so many times they have about perfected it.
1. Egotistical successful to be hero.
2. Something bad happens to set to be hero back.
3. To be hero goes through some trial to get / master powers.
4. There is an infinity stone.
5. Hero saves the world / galaxy.
And random comedy relief throughout.

Royal Tenenbaums - 90%

All-star cast. Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller, and Bill Murray and my favorites.

Neat story. Felt like there was always so much going on.

Lots of little hidden stuff in the back ground to make it worth re-watching.

Different kind of humor, more dry / tragic / weird.

Doom - 90%

Bought this on black Friday steam sale and managed to get through it by Sunday.
Finished on the "Hurt me Plenty" mode.

Fun game but super gory and a lot of satanic.
The glory kill mechanic was really repetitive with the cut scenes.
I hate platform jumping. There wasn't a ton but it was enough to irk me.

It felt like there was plenty of content.
Glad I didn't have to pay full price.

Trick r Treat - 65%

This was better than Evil Dead for sure. 

Sometimes it was difficult to understand motives. 
It was all about killing people who didn't keep the Halloween Spirit. 

There were several side stories in addition. 
What did the wolves really have to do with anything besides sex factor?...

I was hoping for a more "scary" film but ended up more violent than anything. 

Evil Dead 2013 - 40%

Watched this in honor of Halloween and because I enjoyed the originals.

It was pathetic.
They took everything that was good and entertaining about the originals and threw it away.
This was a straight up rip off of every other drug rehab in the woods goes wrong.

Spoiler: The "twist" in the end of the woman becoming the chainsaw arm icon was unfitting.

I do not recommend this movie.

Black Lagoon - 89%

One of the more edgy anime I am willing to watch.

I watched it subbed but my friend recommended the dubbed.
I watched one episode dubbed and found that there was a lot more bad language.
That being said, Once they went to New York there was plenty of bad language again.

This anime is all about character. Not much of an overarching story line.
Sometimes I couldn't tell who the main character was.. Rock or Revy.

I enjoy the whole mob aspect.

The bullets only hit when the plot needs them to.

There was some weird stuff about sibling children being in love and killing lots of people.

This is a very violent anime.

Luke Cage - 65%

The mother says, "You’d think a sister [black woman] in charge would change things, but you’re blue [a cop], which makes you just as white as anybody else!"

Luke Cage tries to reflect and embrace African American culture but instead it really only alienated it more.

In a word... This show is racist beyond measure. 
It is right up there with Quentin Tarantino's movies. 

The story wasn't half bad but it was more of the "Surprise... we are related"

Beyond Thunderdome - 35%

It started out ok but then it went off the deep end.

Acting was bad but the story was worse.

I can see why they stopped making Mad Max movies after this for a long long time.

It was so bad that I fell asleep toward the end...

Don't waste your time with this movie...

Plot was great. A lot deeper than most super hero movies.
Shoulda been a lot shorter.
Didn't care for the naked smurf.

Rorschach was cool. His mask was cool.
The character of the comedian was interesting.

Definitely not for children.

I felt that with just a few changes this could have been a great movie. But it wasn't...

Stranger Things - 90%

Over Hyped. All my friends raved about it..

I expected a twist because all my friends kept saying they didn't want to spoil it for me..
There was no twist. Just a lead in to the next season.

It was good.
Several suspenseful scenes.
Good character development.
Good pace. Nice length (8 Episodes)
Good plot.
O.K. ending..,

I am not a huge fan of the kid actors being the main for a show that is not for kids. Like Super 8.

Still, I do recommend watching this. It is better than most.

IT Crowd - 90%

Another comedy about noting really.

The scene is IT but only loosely.

Do not need to have any computer knowledge to get the jokes.

Moss (Richard Ayoade) and Roy (Chris O'Dowd) nailed their roles.
Everyone else was annoying.
