Parks and Rec S4 - 90%
Another great season.
Great story and progression of Ben and Leslie relationship and running office through season.
Favorite episodes:
Episode 3: Great bomb drop with Leslie's history.
Episode 4: I was a Boy Scout so this hit home.
Episode 6: Making fun of the end of the world.
Episode 14: The scavenger hunt with the ending where Ron wanted to do one too.
Episode 20: "The Debate" seemed too close to reality.
Only three more seasons to go!
Alien Covenant - 70%
Guardians Galaxy 2 - 90%
Managed to avoid the previews so none of the punch lines got spoiled.
- They did a great job with making situational comedy.
- Favorite scenes was Star-Lord playing ball with his dad.
- Fantastic music.
Cons..
- Very predictable.
- It even tried to give itself away with statements like "got a bad feeling".
Watched this on date night and my wife hated it and said she never wanted to go out to another superhero movie again...
I liked it. It was a great follow on to the first. More of the same but even better.

Arrival - 75%
Huge gaping plot holes.
Spoiler...
The movie is about time travel kinda... She can see memories from the future.. Time is "non-linear"
But it is broken that she can have a future memory for that tells her secret information so she can make the right current action. She has a memory where she is talking to the general of China and he tells her "thanks for making the call and changing his mind and here is my secret personal phone number..." So she then calls the number that she didn't know before that moment and saved the day. Dumb. Also.. They should have shut down that satellite phone remotely.
Why couldn't she just get a future memory that would save her daughter..?
Whatever. I was disappointed because it got good reviews. Science Fiction anit what it used to be.

Parks and Rec S3 -92%
Added in new characters Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott) and Rob Lowe (Chris Traeger).
This season was split in two by Zelda... But it was a great season!
I loved that April and Andy got married instead of just moving in together. S3 E9
S3 E10 Was funny with the multiple online dating profiles.
S3 E10 Jerry's Paining was my favorite episode of the season.
S3 E14 The kid interviewing Ron for the school report about "Why government matters.." was great. "It doesn't"
S3 E15 Leslie and Ben go well together.
Great season over all. I will start the next soon!
Zelda BotW - 100%
Breath of the Taking... Best open world game I have played yet.
I borrowed a switch from a friend to play it and I ran through it asap. 21.17 hours..
Didn't do a single side quest.. just the four beasts, master sword and Ganon.
Spectacular game with great attention to detail.
Thoughts...
- The Japanese voice acting is far superior.
- Cooking was a pain... There should be a way to cook in menu....
- Wish there was some kind of unarmed attack...
- The controls often got in the way... Kept going into sneak mode unintentionally and blowing up bombs on my face.
- The cut scenes should be more consistently skip-able and by the same button..
These are all minor complaints for the most part. It was such a perfect game that I couldn't help but to search for any flaws that I could.
- Puzzles were thoughtful and intuitive.
- Characters were deep enough...
- Graphics were out of this world.
- Boss fights were epic!
Zelda BotW pulled off what almost every other open world so far has failed at including Skyrim...
The main story quest didn't feel like it was just another side quest crammed into a game engine.
It all flowed so well. The perspectives/camera angles, the voices, everything.
It can be played so many ways. Scratches the itch of the explorer and the conquer.
I know I only experienced a small fraction of what it had to offer.
This definitely deserves a 100% score!
