I have been wanting this set for a long time. I first saw it six years ago, before I had really gotten back in to Legos, and almost bought it on impulse then.

I can't believe how long this set has held its price and stayed on the shelves! Since 2011!

Good enough plot.. Not too complex and only a few holes...
Why did they not shoot the drop ship when it was in the tractor beam like they did the first time?

A lot of attention to detail and promoting/building an interesting alien culture.

Lots of bad language and violence.

Wartership Down - 92%

Netflix 4 part miniseries.
Parts 1-3 were better than part 4.

Great story and tell of a journey.

It was difficult to tell the rabbits apart sometimes.

The ending didn't really work..
- Starve them out? While standing out in the open?
- Scar attacks the dog?

Venom - 70%

The special effects and look of Venom was great...
Too much goofiness..

POE Winter Orb - 95%

I tried Lancing Steel with Mathil but it felt terrible.
I tried Lancing from 1:30 till 10:00 Friday and started over with Orb at 4:00 AM Saturday.

Winter Orb was much better! I got all the way from level 1 to tier 3 maps in one day easily.



The skill tree was easy. Life sustain was decent.

Made it to level 90 in less than a week with just play an hour or two each morning.

Betrayal is good... The Tiny Reward with the crafting currency is one of the best rewards ever. I wish they had more like that.

I wish there was more in game crafting tutorials where they let you experiment with currency.
I also wish there was a cosmetics dressing room.. I think they would make more $$ if they did.

Found 2 Exalts in the Delv.

Traded one for this armor which I felt was a great deal...

Theory of Everything - 98%

I didn't know a whole lot about Stephen Hawking and after watching this I feel there is a ton I don't know... but I do know more and I do have a better appreciation.

Incredibly sad, can't imagine going through what Stephen and Jane went through.
Don't know who is more incredible, Jane or Stephen.

So much that it is hard to believe that it is all true.

Sad that Stephen left Jane.. I feel like there was a lot I don't know about their struggles and if Jane was having a physical affair before that or not.. Tragically sad either way.

Eddie Redmayne did a great job as the actor for Stephen Hawking.

This movie was an enormous undertaking and I think they did the best they could.

The Shining - 90%

Now I finally know what Redrum means...

Wendy Torrance (Shelley Duvall) was the best character. Her looks, behavior, nervousness! She made the movie worth watching in my opinion. 

The scene with the blood coming out of the elevator was cool the first time... But not the exact scene repeated three times...

Lots of beautiful Colorado scenery.

The racism with Dick Hallorann was totally unnecessary.
The naked lady from the shower was too much.. Didn't have to go full frontal to get the effect.
The brief shot of guy in the animal outfit was totally unnecessary.

Naruto Shippuden - 99%

I wouldn't have given this such a good score if I had not had the ability to skip all the filler and repeat flashbacks...

The story of Obito was fantastic! The best part of the anime.
His identity and story and being manipulated.
His transformation and how Naruto won him over.

So much great character development with Sasuke, Naruto, and Kakashi!
Great visuals and epic.
The final battle between Naruto and Sasuke was amazing. Surprisingly fast and concise.
The build up to Sasuke's philosophy was great! Sasuke being the last of the Uchiha!
Liked how Sasuke interacted with Sakura.
Itachi was amazing. Nagato was amazing! Fantastic stories, transformations and battles.

Liked how the team got back together for the big fight with Kaguya.
Liked how Naruto and Hinata got married.

The only thing I disliked is the number of repeated flashbacks. It is good to add back story but it just kept repeating the same back stories over and over. Thankfully pretty easy to skip.

Music was great!

Watched on Hulu and followed the filler list.

My Hero Academia S3 - 95%

Long season. 25 episodes!

Lots of good plot and fights.

Deku vs Kacchan was fun. I like how Kacchan is developing and their relationship.
All Might vs All For One waz crazy.

There were a few slow filler episodes.. But overall, a great season!

Animal World - 99%

A Netflix gem.
So much packed into this movie!
The logic breakdown of rock paper scissors, the psycho analysis, action!
I wasn't expecting anything and I couldn't believe how great it was.
Highly recommend!

POE Completed Atlas - 100%

Hall of Grandmasters is broken. I hate that map. But I did feel great accomplishment for beating it.

Beat almost every map with my Toxic Rain Path Finder.

The Shaper felt too easy.. I wonder if they tuned it down after adding uber Elder. 

Delv was a fantastic league. I can't believe that POE gives this much.

GGG is the best gaming company ever! They listen to their players and dare to innovate.

Ralph Breaks the Internet - 80%

Interesting ending that I didn't like... and was actually really sad.

The way I saw it was that they had conflicting dreams so... split...
    Like it seems Hollywood is pushing a lot marriages.

Funny how Disney makes fun of their tropes of princesses and how sexist they are.

That all being said... it was fairly entertaining and clean.

Blazing Saddles - 85%

A lot of classic scenes and quoted lines.
"Excuse me while I whip this out"
Punching out a horse.
Hanging a horse.
The whole song from the German lady about being with thousands of men and being so tired.
"Hey, where are the white women at?"

 Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder acted their parts masterfully.

Sad that almost all the actors are now dead.

Lots sexism and racism. I felt sexist and racist for even watching it.

Only watched because it is a cult classic and on Netflix... 

The ending was dumb how they crossed over out of the set and through Hollywood and brought it back around by setting down at the theater.

Christmas Chronicles - 20%

Bad movie. All about materialism/greed.
Not even a hint of serving others.
Christmas is all about getting presents...
  If people don't get their presents they turn in to criminals.

Several profanities and dealing with death of the dad, obsessive greed, car theft, etc... this movie not suitable for children.

Santa Claus at the end reviles that he had been playing/tricking Teddy the entire movie...

Highly recommend AVOIDING this movie.

Lost In Translation - 85%

... Well there was a lot I didn't like about it.
I felt like it was well acted and well directed...

Not my kind of movie.. Especially the part where Charlotte asks if marriage gets any easier while she is laying in bed with Bob and next thing you know Bob is sleeping with the singer... So Bob sucks at marriage...

It was slow but purposefully so.

Did like how the Japanese culture represented stuff..

Over all I was like... I like Bill Murray... like Scarlett Johansson.. Like Japan... Don't like this movie..

I did not read the book before watching the movie...

Felt a little rushed to get so much in the movie but was good over all.

Scott Pilgrim vs the World did it better... teen love, video games, etc..

This movie was more about trying to cram every "Easter Egg" they could in..

The ending ending was dumb.

IOI was a pretty bad/poor excuse for a villain.

Came off more goofy than it seemed like they intended.

All said it was still worth watching. Better than a lot of movies...

Solo Star Wars - 75%

Long.. Almost boring..

Predictable plot, uninspiring characters, dumb twist.

Still far better than Episode 1,2,3,7, and 8....

For some reason, they all got on my nerves a little.

The voice of Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Herrelson.. annoying..

Daredevil S3 - 99%

I am shocked they pulled it off.

Amazing story and great pace for the entire 13 episodes.

I liked how it didn't tie in to the Defenders or even S2 of Daredevil much...

Nadeem was great, sucks to be him. Did everything he could and lost everything.

Karen Page was great, enjoyed the back story.

Foggy was good. Liked his confidence.

The escape from the prison sequence was the best fight scene.

Who is left that doesn't know that Matt is Daredevil...?


Didn't really much care for the ending cliff hanger for Dex...
Didn't really much care for the ending of Fisk..

Blacklist S5 - 90%

Same as always, Aram Mojtabai ( Amir Arison) and Sanar Navabi (Mozhan Marno) are the worst actors / characters on the show.

Other than that... fairly predictable, especially for Tom Keen.

Not sure why Sutton Ross worked with Liz... It was pretty obvious that it would cost his life. It would been better if he got away..

So I am pretty sure I got it figured out... The real dead Reddington is Jennifer's dad and whoever James Spader is is Liz's dad...

Still a great show, even in the 5th season. Watched this when it came out to Netflix with my wife.

Castlevania S2 - 98%

Fantastic! Art, story, voice acting, everything!

The fight against Dracula was intense and well cooperative.

Ending was fantastic!

Greatly enjoyed that most of the focus was on the vampires.

Felt more like a tragedy.

The dialog felt purposefully awkward and I like it!

Godbrand was a fantastic character, sad he didn't make it that far.

Highly recommend!

Seven Deadly Sins S3 - 90%

Kind of a poor/slow start.. 

New more powerful enemy and everyone has to get a backstory and a level up to beat them..

Things got a lot better on the second half of the season but occasionally a little confusing. 

Why did who transform into a child?

Why does everyone keep coming back from the dead?

I like the set up for the 3rd season with the darker Meliodas and the brotherly rivalry.

Escanor is cool and Gowther was dumb.

Others of the seven are all so weak compared to Escanor, Merlin, and Meliodas.. 

Didn't like Merlin, her outfit and how the rules don't apply to her.. 

The idea of the curses of the ten commandments was great but they just kept breaking them instead of finding a way to work them...  so whats the point.. 

Witch's Flower - 87%

Very Hayao Miyazaki like.. story, art, etc..

Cool kids movie.

Mary finds a flower and teaches some misguided school masters a lesson.
Mary decides magic is cool but doesn't really need it.

Blade II - 70%

The line about the Lawyer being just barley human was the best part...
The way Norman Reedus died was dumb.
Ron Perlman was cool.
Overall... not really worth watching.

Gotham S4 - 94%

Gotham almost lost me in S3 but I decided to give it a bit more and S4 was great

The Doc and Joker are my favorites and they received a lot of screen time

I liked the evolution of the Joker

Penguin and Nygma are my least favorite...

I watched the first half of the season on Hulu but then gave up my subscription and waited 7 months for it to arrive on Netflix so it was a bit disconnected.

The first half about Pyg and Sofia was so so.

The ending was solid, nice lead in to better Bruce.

Gordon is amazing.

Cameron Monaghan does a fantastic job with the Joker! Worth watching just for his performance.

Blade - 85%

Cool to see a young Donal Logue as Quinn. I mostly know him from Gotham.

Lots of action, over the top violence, profanity and predictable plot.

Just watched for the first time ever after it came it Netflix.

Walking Dead S8 - 95%

Still good. A few question mark moments but still good over all.

Felt like Carl's scenes were mostly shot separately and that his death was forced into the plot..
But it worked out pretty well...

Negan is the best villain ever.
The plot of Dwight was great, how he used Negan to kill Simon and how Negan used Dwight to trap everyone.

The fight between Negan and Simon was intense.

Many great intense scenes.

I didn't like the set up for season 9... This show needs to end...
