Lego NES - 100%

 

Bought this after the Bowser set when a friend told me about how well these sets go together. 

So glad they had one new one left in stock at Bricks and Minifigs! It was back ordered on Lego.com. 

Great set, should have bought it when it came out. I didn't realize how good it was.

Fantastic functionality! Didn't realize exactly how it worked till I put it together. 

Such smooth action of Mario moving through the scene. Really need to motorize this set!

Lego Bowser - 100%

Fantastic set! So cool to build something other than a building or vehicle!

Great color and detail!

Good functionality with the eyes, fireball, and head movement. 

Love how it pairs with the NES!!

 

POE - Vortex - 98%

 

• The worst league so far.. I am not a fan of "rogue like" so Sanctum was not my league.
• Started a couple weeks late and Vortex looked cool so I gave it a try... 
• Got really bad drops... Spent for ever just trying to roll 3 red sockets and a blue in the evasion boots. 
• Died a ton until I got a little luck and found a Twilight Temple moon map and got 30C which was just enough to get a skin of the loyal. That 100% global defenses made a difference.
• Then luck dropped and got a Polaric Devastation ring from Maven! But, dumbly, I tried to use it from like level 80 to 88... Didn't even check the price. Turns out I was able to trade it for 4 Divines which makes it the highest valued ring I have ever traded!
• With that 4 Divine, I spent 2 Divine on the cluster gem, got a L3 Empower for 170C, bought a Skin of the Lord for like 90C, and a level 21 Vortex for 16C... Total DPS went from about 400k to 2M!
• By the end it was fairly tanky and lots of good DPS. OK clear speed. 

Big Bang Theory S12 - 98%

 

The last season was better than several before it. Ended on a good note. 

Did a great job summarizing the high points of the series and letting a go of a few things like Leonard's relationship with his mom and Howard's kids. 

I didn't care for the Raj drama with his last relationship and how they had to somehow get rid of her to boil the group back down to the core for the final couple of episodes. Hate that they didn't include Wil Wheaton in the final. 

The wedding and honeymoon for Sheldon and Amy was great. Amazing to see Mark Hamill. Didn't feel like Penny being pregnant added anything. 

All in all it was a fun series and I am glad I managed to watch every episode. It was fun having something to watch together with my wife. So many episodes that they blurred together a bit. 12 seasons is a good run. 

Big Bang Theory S11 - 90%

• Howard and Bernadette having a second child?.. 
• The Bitcoin episode was funny with all the FTX stuff going on
• Raj at the planetarium is cool
• More Wil Wheaton! Professor Proton! 
• Don't care for Bill Gates
• Mark Hamill replaces Wil Wheaton for the wedding!
