Satisfactory Success

 Finally! Beat Satisfactory! In only 66 hours to completing final space elevator parts! No cheats!

Great playthrough. Basically had two bases, one for oil and the other for coal. Had a train, drones, and belts connecting them. Didn't crash hardly any on this play through!

POE2 - 90%

 

I expect that this will grow into being one of the best but a bit of a rocky start. 

So much crashing that the experience was ruined for me. Act 1 was perfectly smooth with no crashes, then Act 2 had one ore two crashes at the start but by the end of Act 2 and all of Act 3 it was crashing every minute or two. Sometimes a shader or texture dialog error message but most of the time nothing, just crash to the desktop. I even had about 5 bluescreens of death. So frustrating to be in the middle of trying to get the assentation trial and have it crash to lose everything. Tons of failed to join instance. Lots of times it would even crash at the loading screen. Every time it crashes it takes away a portal. 

Apart from that it is pretty good. Boss fights were great. 

Really hated the second trial of Sekhemas to get points 5 and 6. This is where I gave up because of it crashing.. Even if it didn't crash, I would have lost. Melee build just doesn't work for the dodge honor mechanic. For POE 1, you have to make specific builds for that content... now in POE2 every build has to be able to get through to ascend.. 

Played till level 71.. I will try again in a few months if they fix the crashing and balance the game better. 

Lego Endurance - 100%

 

Fantastic build! Love the sails and rigging. The lifeboats and ladders were very tedious. Great detail and micro scale. Good colors. Wonderful set!

Shedd Aquarium - 10%

Terrible experience. A overwhelming crowd can ruin anything. It was so overbooked I couldn't even see everything. The line to see the sharks was like 300 people deep. The layout of this aquarium was confusing.. Have to look at a map to even know what is there or you could miss it... compared to the Chattanooga aquarium which has a path that takes you by everything. The beluga whales was the only thing that made the Shedd not get a zero. It is criminal that they get away with overselling tickets to the point where it ruins the experience for everyone. On top of that, half the place was under construction yet they still charged full price. It was a complete waste of money.  

Field Museum - 95%

 Amazing Natural History museum! We got there early so we beat the crowd... which is one of the two complaints I have about this place. The first is that they WAY overbooked this place, they should limit the tickets they sell enough to make it enjoyable for those who book early. The crowd was so big that we all got stuck in the Egypt exhibit and many of the views you had to look at from a distance. The second complaint was that it is a pain to navigate all the extra experiences they try to get you to buy on top of the general admission. They should have only one option that gets you access to everything!

That being said.. They had a better museum than the Smithsonian Natural History. Lots of great taxidermy. Tons of great insects. So well organized and well displayed! 

Satisfactory Ficsmas - 70%

Nothing new. They hyped it up saying that Ficsmas would get a 1.0 update but there was nothing new. 

Did it all once before but I figured I would do it again for the fun of it. Didn't take long with blueprints. 

IF Movie - 20%

 

Tons of needless cursing for a kids movie. Story was very convoluted. John Krasinski was the only good part of this movie. Watched with my kids... wouldn't have bothered otherwise. 

Suits - S7 - 94%

 

The dynamic between Donna and Harvey is getting old. Mike at the clinic was ok.. Don't really care for all the Louis at therapy with Lipschitz. Really don't care for how Louis got Sheila Zass back.. I like Harvey running the firm but Jessica is Chicago isn't that great. Amazing that Mike and Rachel finally got married but it didn't feel that satisfying... They had already been living together for so long that it just didn't have any meaning. Just an expensive party. Dumb that Mike half tried to keep Harvey out of it. Looks like they are getting rid of Rachel and Mike together. Amazing that the show will continue without them because all their other characters are so strong. 

Moana 2 - 90%

 

Good sequel... maybe even better than the original. Story was a bit convoluted.. The little masked coconut guy was pretty funny. Singing was OK. Watched it with my kids... wouldn't have bothered otherwise.

Origami Elephant - 100%

 

Designed by Quentin Trollip and diagramed in Origami Sequence. 

Fantastic design. Turned out pretty well. Great trunk and ears. The back legs are not the best. Difficult to get the waist up from the legs. Folded it from a 18 inch square of foil tissue paper that I made. 

Lego Tranquil Garden - 100%

 

Wow! So great! The ability to reconfigure what trees go where. The detail bridge and the tea house! The colors. Great rocks under the tea house. Cool water running through the design and the path. Amazing set for the cost too! A wonderful set. I built this while hanging out with my friend while he built the Transformer Bumblebee. 

 

Subservience - 20%

 

Very weak plot. This story is so old! Every AI movie is exactly the same. The AI suddenly gains consciousness and turns on everyone. Pretty funny joke I though of... When the guy is buying the robot, the salesman says it covers the three Cs.. Child care, Cooking, and Cleaning. But it really should be the four Cs.. with the last C for Coitus! So dumb that they would make such a robot claiming the three Cs and throw in working sex parts for the fun of the plot. Terrible movie. Wish they could come up with something original on this subject. 

Suits - S6 - 99%

So much better than the House M.D. prison season! Frank Gallo was a great adversary. Mike's final escape was a bit cheesy, Frank should have at least hurt him a bit in that fight. Neat that Mike is finally legit, wonder how the series will continue without having to dance around the fraud issue. 

 

Suits - S5 - 98%

 

Harvey and his mommy issues was a melodrama. Jack Soloff was a great actor/character. Mike is finally arrested!!!?! Amazing he didn't bring the firm down with him. Another great season. 

Satisfactory - Blueprints 100%

Blueprints are essential for a successful Satisfactory playthrough. I made most of these on my first attempt. The idea is that everything is contained within a 4 x 4 and stackable. With these basic blueprints, I was able to get all the way through. I didn't really care about belts overlapping inside cause it was all covered up... Makes a nice factory build with sky scrapers all around.

Satisfactory - Attempt 2

 

Better start location and tried to do a mega base. 

Frist time I played through, I didn't know to build any hyper tube cannons and I didn't realize how good the hover pack was because I was determined to use the jetpack with the new fuels. Both are a must have. I tried to organize the base better with everything growing off of a main platform in a straight line with the belts all underneath. I wanted all the raw resources coming in the same spot. I was still wrapped around having a central storage location too.. I played this for 36 hours and got all the way to  

Suits - S4 - 100%

 

Fantastic dynamic between Mike and Harvey working at different jobs. Like Neal McDonough acting as Sean Cahill. He was great in The 100. Amazing exchange between Mike and Louis! Louis finally finds out in a great way after fighting to get him back in the firm and then using it to be name partner! What a story. Did not like Donna leaving to work for Louis and the panic attacks... 

Satisfactory 1.0 - 98%

 

Beautiful game. First time I made that far without any "cheats". Put in 80 hours, didn't skip the intro and played all the way to having produced at least 1 of each of the final elevator parts. 1.0 was amazing but the story could have been a bit more and there was a ton of crashes... had to have the auto save set to 1 minute cause it would crash every 10 to 15 minutes. A pain that all the good stuff was at the very very end, played 70 hours just to get to the tech that would make it more fun like teleportation and then I was burned out. Still, an amazing game. Wish the larger blueprints were not all the way at the end too. And the hard drives system is still very bad.. discourages you from selecting any trying to save for what you want which can never be found regardless. They should have made it so you can "research" any one thing you want from each hard drive.
