Here is Future Gadget 001 (Name scheme inspired by Steins;Gate).
It is a Continuously Variable Transmission car inspired by Sheepo's.
This is RC and it goes work... But it will only drive in one direction because the cones push the rubber connecting gear away when going in reverse. I tried adding a bunch of rubber bands but that didn't help.

Nothing special on the gears... Had to gear it down a bit to get it to go.
It will go fairly fast but I can out run it.

The actuator pushes the rubber gear along the cones.
