The first was better.
There is very little in common between 1 & 2 save boy named Pete and a Dragon..
The first had catchy songs, morals, conviction against drinking, and comedy.
The second is a action movie with no morals, conviction, and not much comedy.
It seems that that is the recipe for a movie these days.
Recipe: Achieve tempo, have strong minorities, and some action. If you can't explain the plot in 1 sentence then it is not good...
I like a little more...
Also, I hated that they turned the dragon into a dog.. !
Dragons are more than that! If there were such a thing...
