What a movie! I had such high expectations going in and it didn't disappoint. The levels of mind blowing.
I am not sure if any of it was real... had to be all staged. How much influence did Billy have? Was Elizabeth ever in control of anything? Or is she the genius truly behind it all? I have no idea. I do believe that Elizabeth is mentally sick and broken and I do want to feel bad for her. Nathan Fielder was amazing. This movie was 3 hours long but truly didn't feel like it. So many good scenes but my favorite was Nathan sitting with Amanda watching the real Elizabeth watching Amanda play Elizabeth in The Dropout. And especially how the very same part that Elizabeth disturbed her most was Amanda's favorite scene.
The camara shots was amazing and so in the face for so close and long. The facial expressions of the real Elizabeth was so.. disturbing.
I only dropped this movie to a 95% because they showed too much of Billy... But I get that it plays into his controlling narcissism.
