Batman Under Red Hood - 90%

Really enjoyed this.

Good story, character development, art.

Missed Mark Hamill....

I was surprised who the red hood was.. I do not follow the comics so it was all new story to me.
The tie in to the killing joke was good.

This is definitely not for young kids.

The Little Prince - 85%

Netflix original.

Watched with my wife.

This was a tear jerk film.

We liked it, the animation was good, the story was entertaining.

Not a fan of the life lessons..
-The depiction of the afterlife with no mention of God.
-Its cool to hang out with your creepy old man neighbor.

Still, a decent movie you can watch with the family and talk about after.

Excavator Lego - 42055

Fantastic build! Lego has outdone themselves!
I was able to beat the back order and get a set within 5 days of its release.
Took about 11 hours to build.
The construction is ingenious and educative!

There were 8 sets of baggies.

Stage 1: The Base

Stage 2: The Treads

Stage 3: The rotation platform

Stage 4: First Conveyor

Stage 5: The Bucket Wheel

Stage 6: The Motor Assembly

Stage 7 The Exterior Details
Stage 8: The Truck

My wife put the truck together!

Hardcore Henry - 95%

Watched on VidAngel.

From looking at the VidAngel filter this movie is filled with nudity and cursing.

The violence is through the roof.

That all being said, this was an instant cult classic.

It was a roller-coaster ride, one action scene after another. I was never board.

Henry not being able to talk was a great point.

The view/perspective was fantastic.

The plot was predictable but who cares.

The musical was fantastic.

Jimmy was a great character!

Great ending!

I had been waiting to see a movie from this perspective for a long time. The previews of Doom showed it but Doom the movie was stupid. Hardcore Henry pulls it off nicely!

The Boy - 70%

Felt like this movie was really for fans of Lauren Cohan to get to see more of her.

Lauren goes crazy being convinced that the doll is alive.

Love triangles are always dumb.

The plot was better than some movies.. Spoiler..

First the doll was supernatural, then it was the guy in the wall so it was just creepy, then the guy in the wall had supernatural strength and couldn't be knocked out.

The kid is "odd" and kills some other girl so the parents make a cover up pretending that the kid had died in a fire and then used the doll as a way to pretend to cope with the pretend death. 20 years later their son is insane for keeping up this up for so long. meh.

It was entertaining enough.

Kiki's Delivery Service - 60%

Another classic Hayao Miyazaki.

Watched this with my wife on VidAngel

Meh. I didn't get it.

Why did her ability to fly start to disappear?

What was this world where witches were scares but not a big deal?

What skill did she learn? She already knew how to fly and so does every other witch.

What happened with the cat?
Did it ever get it's voice back?
Not only did the cat lose its voice it reverted to being a normal cat?

Seemed like it tried to go more than one direction with the plot and ended up losing its way.

Great artwork, poor character development, poor plot.

Great movie for kids but not entertaining for adults.

My Neighbor Totoro - 98%

Classic. So many classics from Hayao Miyazaki.

Watched this together with my wife on VidAngel.

It had a good roller-coaster ride of emotions but ending with on a good note.

The story is great, plot is great, and the artwork is iconic.
