Lego NES - 100%

 

Bought this after the Bowser set when a friend told me about how well these sets go together. 

So glad they had one new one left in stock at Bricks and Minifigs! It was back ordered on Lego.com. 

Great set, should have bought it when it came out. I didn't realize how good it was.

Fantastic functionality! Didn't realize exactly how it worked till I put it together. 

Such smooth action of Mario moving through the scene. Really need to motorize this set!

Lego Bowser - 100%

Fantastic set! So cool to build something other than a building or vehicle!

Great color and detail!

Good functionality with the eyes, fireball, and head movement. 

Love how it pairs with the NES!!

 

POE - Vortex - 98%

 

• The worst league so far.. I am not a fan of "rogue like" so Sanctum was not my league.
• Started a couple weeks late and Vortex looked cool so I gave it a try... 
• Got really bad drops... Spent for ever just trying to roll 3 red sockets and a blue in the evasion boots. 
• Died a ton until I got a little luck and found a Twilight Temple moon map and got 30C which was just enough to get a skin of the loyal. That 100% global defenses made a difference.
• Then luck dropped and got a Polaric Devastation ring from Maven! But, dumbly, I tried to use it from like level 80 to 88... Didn't even check the price. Turns out I was able to trade it for 4 Divines which makes it the highest valued ring I have ever traded!
• With that 4 Divine, I spent 2 Divine on the cluster gem, got a L3 Empower for 170C, bought a Skin of the Lord for like 90C, and a level 21 Vortex for 16C... Total DPS went from about 400k to 2M!
• By the end it was fairly tanky and lots of good DPS. OK clear speed. 

Big Bang Theory S12 - 98%

 

The last season was better than several before it. Ended on a good note. 

Did a great job summarizing the high points of the series and letting a go of a few things like Leonard's relationship with his mom and Howard's kids. 

I didn't care for the Raj drama with his last relationship and how they had to somehow get rid of her to boil the group back down to the core for the final couple of episodes. Hate that they didn't include Wil Wheaton in the final. 

The wedding and honeymoon for Sheldon and Amy was great. Amazing to see Mark Hamill. Didn't feel like Penny being pregnant added anything. 

All in all it was a fun series and I am glad I managed to watch every episode. It was fun having something to watch together with my wife. So many episodes that they blurred together a bit. 12 seasons is a good run. 

Big Bang Theory S11 - 90%

 

• Good start to the season. 
• More wedding planning.. 
• Howard and Bernadette having a second child?.. 
• The Bitcoin episode was funny with all the FTX stuff going on
• Raj at the planetarium is cool
• More Wil Wheaton! Professor Proton! 
• Don't care for Bill Gates
• Mark Hamill replaces Wil Wheaton for the wedding!

Big Bang Theory S10 - 90%

 

• Dean Norris as Colonel Richard Williams! 
• Bert is cool, liked how he won the MacArthur Fellowship
• Most of this season is about preparing for the Bernadette and Howard's baby and the dynamics of Amy and Sheldon living together
• Amy singing Soft Kitty in different languages was pretty amazing
• The season finally of why Sheldon is driven to propose to Amy was one of the best episodes in the whole series!

Big Bang Theory S9 - 88%

 

• Not a great start. So out of character that Leonard would kiss another woman 
• The break up between Amy and Sheldon is blah. Sheldon rejecting Amy after she rejected him..
• Love Wil Wheaton - Appearing dressed as Spock to Star Wars was great!
• Liked the guest appearance of Elon Musk
• They made Stuart too creepy 
• Howard and Bernadette are expecting
• The triangle with Claire, Emily, and Raj is dumb
• Another wedding for Penny and Leonard, big surprise. 

Satisfactory - Modular - 100%

This time around I went with a build style of making modular buildings of various sizes with signs stating the output and needed input rates. It became a little messy trying to cram them all together but it was pretty fun. Inside the buildings is a big mess but it did work out sealing them up and never having to look inside. 

This was played with creative flight and no cost to build but still had costs for research.

POE - Relic Pact - 85%

• Expensive glass cannon
• No matter how much you try can always die in one shot
• Lots of good damage
• Most HP I have ever had
• Fairly fun but not great 

Lego Imperial Droid - 100%

 

• Fantastic set! 
• Great base and display.
• My second ever Star Wars set
• Lots of left over pieces 

Agrarian Skies 2 - Still 100%

Been a long time since I played Agrarian Skies 2. 

Still a great experience! Only played through the tech aspects.. don't care for the magic.. 

The big tree is great!

 

Big Bang Theory S8 - 87%

 

• Penny suddenly has short hair.. A shame they didn't get to work that into an episode
• Sheldon running away was silly
• Sheldon giving up on String theory was funny
• Emily not liking Penny because of the incident that was too out of character
• Penny's ends her acting and starts selling drugs? Now making more money then Leonard who has a PHD? 
• The Clean Room Infiltration reminded me of Breaking Bad with the fly in the lab
• Leonard discovers the Superfluid Vacuum and seems fine with Sheldon getting the credit.. 
• Dumb for Leonard and Penny to get married in Vegas after the whole episode of Penny not recognizing Vegas as a real marriage and having to get divorced.  

Big Bang Theory S7 - 92%

• Fantastic "The Raiders Minimization" with Indiana Jones being superfluous 
• Forcing Leonard to wear the itchy sweater was a bit too far
• Serial Ape-ist 2: Monkey See. Monkey Kill
• Bernadette discovers her message is highly inappropriate as the card is actually a "get well" card for the woman, who has been in a terrible accident.
• Leonard and Penny get engaged 

Big Bang Theory S6 - 92%

 

• Space talk.. every conversation goes back to Howard going to space
• Fun with flags
• Really liked "The 43 Peculiarity"! One of my favorite episodes. 
• Getting in trouble with HR was pretty a funny episode "The Egg Salad Equivalency"
• Bob Newhart as Professor Proton 
• Raj lost his selective mutism.. surprised they held onto it as long as they did

Big Bang Theory S5 - 90%

 

• The Raj and Penny thing didn't make any sense... 
• Sheldon being afraid of the pet bird was pretty funny. Beautiful Black throated magpie jay. 
• Didn't like the Recombination Hypothesis. A whole episode in a daydream and not revealing till the end.
• Howard and Bernadette get married  
• Howard goes to space

Lion Knights' Castle - 99%

• Wonderful set!
• Wonderful colors, secrets, building style, architecture! So much!
• Only downside is the ramp in the front.. just doesn't feel right. 
• Love how it opens up and can be displayed in so many ways!
• Built half myself and my friend built the other half!
• Love the little yellow castle!
• So many great minifigs!!
