FG004 Instructions

Here is my first attempt to use SR 3D Builder and LPub.
But I still have a lot to learn...
  - Some items should be the same but I apparently selected slightly different versions of the part and it is a big pain to change.
  - Still haven't figured out how to get LPub to allow change of Point Of View.
  - Some motors and the battery pack should be collapsed into single parts.
  - Need to figure out how to have sub components with call outs.

That all said, I believe that the model is reproducible from the instructions.

Hopefully I will get this all working and my next Instructions will be even better.

SR3D builder and LPub both had a few issues I had to work through and I will talk about that on the next post.

Future Gadget 004

Here is my first Lego MOC tank!

I worked diligently to make it have as low a profile as I could get. The 4 motors are all packed in tightly. It is pretty fast. I am specially happy with how the wires are neat from the top. I think this is the best looking MOC I have made yet.

Anime: Mushishi - 96%

Each episode was like a song. It had its high points and its low points. Every time I watched I felt like I was put into a good mood. The music was good and fit the show.

This is episodic which is something I normally dislike from an anime but this pulled it off.

Definitely toward the top of my Anime list.

It is difficult to say which was my favorite episode...
I greatly enjoyed the following:
Episode 25: "Eye of Fortune, Eye of Misfortune"
Episode 23: "The Sound of Rust"
Episode 21: "Cotton Changeling"
Episode 20: "A Sea of Writings"
Episode 18: "Clothes That Embrace the Mountain"
Episode 16: "Sunrise Serpent"
Episode 6: "Those Who Inhale the Dew"
Episode 2: "The Light of the Eyelid"

I highly recommend this anime!

Movie: Zootopia - 90%

Really enjoyed this. My company rented out the theater so we took my 1.5 year old daughter along for her first movie. She made it through 95% of it. Despite that we all had a great time.

The movie had great jokes with the Sloth and lots of good references for the grownups like Breaking Bad. I appreciate effort to entertain the older viewers with references rather than dirty jokes they hope goes over the children's heads.

The story was great too. Not too complicated but plenty interesting.

The voice acting and actors were great too!

I highly recommend this with a score of 90 / 100!

I didn't give it a perfect score because it isn't epic and so grand that I will never forget...

Movie: The Martian - 60%

Didn't care for this movie. It was long, boring and predictable. The plot was pretty much the same as Mad Max but without all the cool vehicles. (Go to some distant place and turn around and go back). But what else do you do when you go to space?.. Either you die there or you make it back to Earth. Boring... And no I haven't read the book and I don't plan to.

Everyone claimed that the "Science" was interesting but I was not impressed.

This movie gets a 60 / 100...

Movie: The Visit - 40%

Thought this was going to be another great twist as M. Night often has with his movies but this one was more of a horror that anything. My wife doesn't like horrors but I talked her into it since this was a M. Night.

This movie was a disappointment.

About the only thing I liked wasTyler's (Ed Oxenbould) exclamatory remarks using female pop stars in place of bad words. Shania Twain!

Maybe M. Night's next move will be better...
