Blacklist S3 - 95%

Great season. Not quite as good as S1 and S2 but still great.

I highly recommend this series in general. James Spader kills it!

I liked how they worked Megan Boone being pregnant in real life into the story line for Elizabeth Keen. Shows how flexible and supportive they are.

My least favorite character is Aram Mojtabai... The love triangle with Samar and Ressler is dumb. Especially the episode where Samar and Ressler were defusing a bomb with Aram guiding them on the phone and Aram wouldn't tell them the last step until Ressler apologized to Samar... Would have been great if the bomb had blown up and killed them but since it didn't it was just dumb.

That being said that was about the only scene I didn't like.

Blacklist is one of my top shows but I kinda hope they wrap it up soon.
The story has been so great I want to see it come to its conclusion.

Grimm S5 - 70%

Blah. Many episodes were dumb. Why would so and so do such and such.

They can make up whatever they want...

The whole Juliette turning into Eve so that Nick could have a fling with Adalind... Nick and Adalind having a baby together and living together... It is too much.

I especially thought it was dumb that Wu got a tiny scratch and starts turning into a wolf creature.

So many episodes have the exact same formula ...
  - Opening scene: someone dies
  - Nick has to solve the mystery and it is always Wesen
  - Advance the main story a tiny bit

So very few episodes are dedicated entirely to the main story line.

The conflict between Renard and Nick was weak. Based on the previous 4 seasons I think it was out of character for Renard to go that far..

I also hate how they start to claim that Nick/Grimms had super reflexes and hearing and such but then backed off it.

As in past seasons, Rosalee and Monroe are the best characters in the show.

There are much better alternative series to watch but I still give this a 70%.

Better Call Saul S2 - 100%

So intense it caused some anxiety.. Is Jimmy gonna get caught? How far will he go?

So much great character development and plot!

Every episode is great. Not one left me bored!

Jimmy's outrageous stories such as Cobbler and what he did to get the shots for the commercial.

Howard is always in this awkward stance and acts like such a jerk. The scene where Kim came to tell him that she quit and he resisted letting her in his office cause he was so busy... So classic in character.

The victory of Kim winning Mesa Verde felt so good.

The romance between Kim and Jimmy is fun,

The brotherly love/hate is phenomenal!

Soo many lose ends that they have to tie up!

Better Call Saul Season 2 gets a perfect 100!

I have no complaints and I don't know of anything that could make it better!

Diablo 3 S6 HC Monk

This is the top Monk Build. Haven't died yet but haven't pushed it that hard.

GR 58 is currently the highest.

It was fun at the start of the season starting a fresh and playing with friends.

This season didn't seem any different from last season except that many of the sets were balanced.

Not the most exciting build but I hadn't played Monk in a while.

The Inna's set was tanky but boring.

The Sunwuko build is ranged.. I feel like a monk should always be close combat...

It took a lot of work to find the second Unity...

Speed:

Legends of Tomorrow S1 - 97%

Great set up from Arrow and Flash! Great villain. Epic!

Chronos was a good side villain and plot twist.

The explanation of the Time Masters controlling everything yet being beat was good.

The set up for Season 2 was good.

The time periods visited made for great settings.

Not a big fan of Firestorm or White Canary but the others made up for it.
Mick Rory and Leonard Snart more than made up for it.

Didn't like the side fling between Snart and White Canary....
Didn't like the lesbian flings they pushed for the White Canary.
Did like the romance between Ray Palmer and Kendra Saunders.

Highly recommend watching Legends of Tomorrow and I am looking forward to Season 2.

Once Upon Time S5 - 80%

The underworld was a disappointment...

Hades was a dumb villain.. especially when his hair was on blue fire.

Merida was cool...

The side plot of Dorothy and Red being lesbians makes me want to stop watching the show.

The season final was really dumb. Henry climbs up on a stand and gives a speech about how everyone has to believe. Everyone stops their busy lives to listen and then suddenly "believe" enough to open a portal in the middle of New York.. and then the Evil Queen splits out of Regina and becomes the setup for next season... so not looking forward to next season.

Season 4 was better with Emma being the Dark One and it had ended on a good setup for this season but it was all a big let down.

Once Upon A Time started out great but it has fizzled out.

The Flash S2 - 100%

Even better than last season!

Zoom was a good villain. The plot was good. I really liked that they brought back Dr. Wells.

The man in the mask was a total surprise and mystery!

First half of the season was a lot of set up for Legends.

Barry gets put through a lot... Paralyzed, gives up his powers, and explodes.

The Earth-2 trip was fun and everyone's doppelganger was interesting.

The thought that the Speed Force is conscience is a little silly but o well.

The season final was crazy, and the ending scene! Wow! What will season 3 hold!?

Arrow S4 - 90%

Didn't like this season as much as the previous seasons...

The plot of what happened on the island was weak.

The transformation into the "Green Arrow" was minimal and they made it out to be a big deal.

Glad that Nyssa destroyed the Lazarus pit... Don't have to worry about zombies again...

The setup for Legends of tomorrow was good.

I was surprised that Laurel died and it looks like she isn't coming back...

The season final was silly. Hacking was a joke and missiles don't work like that. The season ended similar to how season 4 ended... Just Oliver and Felicity left, is there going to be a season 5? Who will be in it?

Kingsman - 65%

This movie was seen using VidAngel.

Samuel Jackson was an annoying villain. The "over the top" fight scenes was the comedy.

The basic plot is that a boy loses his dad and grows up into a life of petty crime. When he gets caught the secret service that his dad worked for takes him in and he transforms into a hero that saves the world. He has to pick a dog and keep it with him and he picks the stupidest/most useless dog possible.

As a friend said, "It felt like an American produced British wanna be..."

The Hateful Eight - 90%

The acting is beyond good.
The dialog is beyond witty.
Very very violent...

My favorite scene was Samuel Jackson telling about how his horse died.

Jennifer Jason Leigh was spectacular as Daisy Domergue!
Walton Goggins was spectacular as Sheriff Chris Mannix!

I watched this movie on VidAngel and wish I had filtered it more.
It was beyond racist. And I wish I had filtered out the implied oral scene...
I was hoping for a better twist... But the division of chapters was a good narrative.

This movie is not for the faint and definitely not for children.

Dredd - 90%

Epic, post apocalyptic, and dark.

Another movie that was watched using VidAngel.

The movie starts out with the judge and his rookie doing a drug bust and capturing the wrong person. They try to take that person in for interrogation but "Ma-Ma" shuts down the building and puts out an order to kill the judge and his rookie.... What Ma-Ma should have done is just set up a sniper to kill the guy they were taking in for interrogation.

That being said, I liked the movie. The acting was good and the villain was ruthless. The thought of being skinned alive and taking a slow-mo as you fall from 200 stories is disturbing.

There was lots of great tense action scenes. Gore/violence was a bit over done.

My favorite scene was when Dredd got shot and the false judges walks to finish him off. The false judge asks if there are any last words and Dredd says "wait".

Here is the youtube video of my favorite scene but WARNING, it is NOT censored.

Ex Machina - 98%

I watched this movie censored by VidAngel.

Purely science fiction... Once you are past that, it is a good movie.
Dialog was witty, the scenery was beautiful, and the story had a twist.
Character development and the narrative was solid.

The claim made by this movie and many people in real life is... Consciousness will spontaneously occur once enough ingredients are in place...  That is ludicrous... The notion that anything even mildly complex/meaningful will spontaneously occur is false.

Mankind will never achieve "creating" intelligence. It will always be artificial. There may be a claim that the Turing_test is passed but that will mean very little because the test itself is subjective.

God created / designed us after his own image. Genesis_1:27.

Deadpool - 85%

First censored movie by VidAngel .

The plot was shallow and the villain was weak. That all said the character / persona of Deadpool is the movie's selling point.  To be honest it was better than I expected it to be...

The main issue that I have with this movie is that sooo many children got away with watching it because it was a marvel superhero and the uninformed parents dumbly did not take the time to investigate or did not care...

This is not a children's movie...  I had vidAngel filter out all profanity and all explicit scenes.

This movie was entertaining... so I give it a 85%.

Sometimes I watch the movie just to watch the HISHE. Those guys do such a great job!

VidAngel

VidAngel

Now I can watch censored rated R movies!

The user interface is great.

  • It has over all general filters that are applied to every movie and then fine granularity of control for each individual movie.
    • Can select the individual words that you are O.K. with hearing!
    • Deletes entire scenes for violence, drugs, and nudity!
    • Can even remove implied nudity scenes!
  • It works with the computer and Roku!
  • The cost is good... $20 for the first and then just $1 for each after if kept for only 24 hours.
    •  At this cost it is cheaper than renting through Amazon,
  • Has HD for $2 but my T.V. isn't big enough and my cable caps me at 300 gigs a month so I stick with SD.
  • The selection of filtered movies is fantastic! It has everything I wanted.
    • You can browse by rating - R, PG 13, etc.
    • Even has a great selection of  PG movies for filtering movies for kids too.

So far I have seen Ex Machina and Dead Pool and I didn't see any nudity or hear a single curse word!

More reviews to follow!

Roach Babies

There is a bunch! I am sooo happy!

My family was over when I discovered them and my wife got mad at me for opening the jar of roaches right next to where my sister was mixing the brownies. Then she had the nerve to call me at work and tell me that our dinner guests for the evening might not want to see the roach babies! Crazy!

Thankfully they did want to see them!

Another friend said the other day that he had gone to a hotel and had seen some of the biggest roaches he had ever seen there. I said, "Friend, have you been to my house?"

These have been easy to take care of and fun. The only trouble is keeping the mold out of the cage.

Cap'n America Civil - 90%

Great actions sequences. Lots of fun. Good length for the film. Decent plot.

Personally, I am tired of Spiderman. I am not excited about the announcement for that movie.

Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and  Captain America (Chris Evans) played great team leads.

The main thing I didn't like was the lack of a good antagonist. I know this was "Civil War" but it just didn't feel like either side was taking the fights very seriously. I guess it is all fun and games until someone gets hurt.

The other issue was that Iron Man not only took the "good side" but was the leader of it. His "I don't care" and "Rich playboy" personality didn't match someone that would land on the side of being grieved about killing a few on accident to save the world.

It is the same argument as from my favorite anime - Trigun. You can't save the butterfly caught by the spider because the spider would starve.

I recommend Captain America Civil War with a 90%

Bowfinger - 60%

Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy play their stereotypical roles... as they make a movie about making a movie... movieception... The plot was weak. I am not a huge fan of Eddie Murphy playing multiple roles but that's what he does. And, Heather Graham played a loose woman who would do whatever to get to the top.

I would not recommend this movie for children. I didn't really enjoy it at all. The only reason I watched it was because it is on Netflix.

I give this movie a 60% because there were a couple of scenes that made me laugh but they were seldom.

Jungle Book - 98%

Favorite Parts:
- Christopher Walken did a fantastic job singing "I want to be like youoooo"
- The ending... But really.. That popup book credits was great.

I was impressed with how they managed to keep it live action and not cross the Uncanny_valley.

This movie is good for 13+. The jump scenes and death make it to much for children under 13.

The music was fun, the acting was fun. All in all it was a good feel good movie.

I highly recommend watching Jungle Book and give it a score of 98%
