• Almost felt like it was based on a true story
• Lots of good moments and lines
• Difficult times in the orphanage 
• Lots of good actors, Anya Taylor Joy, and the cowboy chess player
• Beth Harmon has a lot of casual sex.. practically any one will do, no consequences..
• Ending felt a bit too fairy tail
• Rekindled the intrigue of Chess!

Hundred-Foot Journey - 75%

• Painfully predictable and slow moving
• Silly romance with some nod to cooking on the side
• Very few comedic moments
• Felt shallow
• Where did all Papa's money come from? They are poor in India, then ride a beat up car to France and have money to do whatever they want. 
• Cheesy
• Not my kind of movie but I appreciate that others may like it

Christmas Chronicles 2 - 21%

 

Whew this was a bad movie! 

• Better than the first... 
• Stupid kid, never get in a golf-cart with a stranger
• Reindeer and elves are poorly animated 
• Perversion of what the Star of Bethlehem is and what it stands for
• Stupid plot

Do yourself a favor and do not watch!

Didn't care for Alina Park at all

So many terrible episodes...

• 6 - Artificial Intelligence spawning consciousness
• 7 - Stupidest of them all! Pregnant men
• 15 - Dumb gun manufacture 
• 16 - Ressler and his brother
• 19 - Should have just given up on this season, COVID got them so they did half animated 

All the others weren't much better.

Hunter X Hunter S5 - 1000%

Whew, so much happened! So many episodes!

• Had to switch over to subtitled mid way through which was cool but I missed the voice of Cheetu
• Kite was a cool character, not a big fan of the reincarnation ant thing but whatever
• Neferpitou was the most amazing character
• Killua finally pulling the pin out was crazy! 
• So many amazing scenes!
• Killua saying that he could see how strong Morel and Netero were when he saw them
• Wolfin aging with fear
• Gon going crazy on Pitou
• Lightning speed Killua
• Post credit scene with the king on episode 135 moved me to tears 
• Netero's fight was beyond amazing
• Morel was cool with his smoke
• Shaiapouf was my least favorite 
• The king's character and Komugi was so fun and all the Gungi! Wish it was a real game!
• Watched on Crunchyroll 

 I would gladly watch the whole thing over again if I had someone to watch with!

Hunter X Hunter S4 - 100%

• Biscuit is pretty cool
• Gon learns his signature move - rock paper scissors 
• Killua gets his electric abilities
• The dodgeball / sports challenge felt a little out of place on a video game island
• Nailed the trope of being stuck in a video game anime
• Hisoka teamed up with them, doing a great job of being in the middle
• Such a great friend relationship between Gon and Killua
• Dub was perfect

Had to watch on HBO Max because Netflix didn't have it yet

This is one of the best anime I have ever seen!

 

Satisfactory Modded

 

I enjoy watching ImKibitz! Good voice and good play throughs. 

• Was about 9 hours into my best start location play and didn't like how it was going...
• So I started over with modded at the best start location
• Smart Foundations mod is amazing!
• Mk++ mod is amazing!
• Refined Power mod is nice
• Perma day is amazing! and sad... 
• Inventory Slots 50+.. Like it and sad too. 
• Hyper boosters is amazing! and sad too...
• Sad because they feel like they broke designed aspect of the game that I hated. 

Satisfactory Best Start

 

Watched the above video and decided to give the ideal start location a whirl. 

• Started playing again to mess around with the 3.5 new pipes and bounce pads.
• Got bored just before getting to hyper tubes... So never really messed with the new stuff.
• Played for like 9 hours. 
• Even still this is like the best game ever!

POE Bladefall Chieftain- 98%

 

Bladefall / Blade Blast Chieftain was very solid. Good clear, good single, good survivability. 

Endless delv was a lot of fun level 1 to level 75. The last 5 levels was slow. It would be super slow and boring pushing past that. 

Wish they would have thrown a crafting table in but it was fine. 

Getting a 5 or 6 link seems pretty much impossible in Endless delv.

Only took 5 hours to get to level 75! Wish the main game was more that pace.

Got the Night Fall body armor out of the mystery box reward! First body armor I own. Looks good!

POE BV Assassin - 90%

Messed up a bit... Played this build on the mayhem event and figured I could do as I normally did, start SSF and then switch over later.. Well turns out, switching out of SSF is not permitted in mayhem. I was already too far in to give up and start over so I kept pushing. 

Just about gave up because I didn't have a way to convert the remaining 50% Avatar of Fire. I ended up having to path all the way down to Weapon Fire Damage and Magmatic Strikes to get 40%. Cheap items could have taken care of this but that is the fun of SSF. 

Made it all the way to lvl 80 which got me in the running I wanted. 

Blade Vortex was pretty solid and smooth. Good Clear and boss DPS poor survivability. 

Mayhem was fun. Wish they added other stuff like more tower defense league

Hunter X Hunter S3 - 100%

 

Fantastic Season!
- The arm wrestling
- The character development
- The music
- The plot of the auction and the eyes
- Gon didn't even feel like a main character 
- Kurapika was a bit overpowered

POE DS Slayer - 95%

 

Fantastic starter build!

- Good clear speed
- Fantastic single target

- Not too much clicking if you just hold down the attack 

- Cheap gear

- Easy through the quests and end game

- Having to hop around to move is a little annoying 

POE Hexblast - 65 %

An alright starter build...
- Not a real big fan of this play style of pre-cast cast. 
- Feels like another essence drain contagion kind of thing.
- Difficult to feel out how much top end DPS is possible.
- Super weak single target / boss DPS.
- Ok Clear speed.
- Poor survivability. 
- Cheap gear. 

 

Last Airbender S3 - 99%

 

Lots of great moments! 

- Sokka pretending to be a therapist for the avatar
- Aang making a noodle composition of the fire lord 
- Great progression of Zuko
- The fire play satire
- The final battles between Zuko and his sister and Aang and the fire lord

Good ending!
Left wanting more!
Great progression from the first two seasons!
Enjoyed watching it with the kids!

Not big on the reincarnation and spirit stuff...

Another amazing season! Even better than the first!

- Epic tournament 
- Fantast talk through / analysis of the battles 
- Amazing fast paced progression 
- Fantastic Nen System and Types!
- Fantastic continued development of the characters!

- A bit to much with Hisoka getting turned on by the fight... 

 

Hunter X Hunter S1 - 99%

 

I watched this on the way to and from the Grand Canyon, the lady next to me on the plane said this was her favorite anime of all time, a 100/10! 

-So many characters but fantastic job of keeping them all simple
-Great dynamic with the main characters
-Great English dub, Normally I watch in original but difficult to see on my phone
-Side characters die plenty
-Fun exam setting and story set up
-Hisoka is a fantastic bad guy... can't figure him out!
-Killua amazing story, amazing how he was disqualified
-Great Animation
-Great main character, Gon, with the typical ability to win people over and desire to save both

Last Airbender S2 - 98%

Wow, Great series to watch with the kids. 

Even better than the first season!

- Great team dynamic 
- Great story
- Great comedy - Sokka
- Great progression of skills

What happened?
Only made it through the first half of this season but I am done watching. 
Every episode of this season is pushing an agenda and isn't even funny. 

Promised Neverland S1 - 100%

Mind blown! 

Animation style was amazing. 

The children were so distinct and full of character! 

What a dynamic between Emma, Norman, and Ray!

Many moments of "AHHHH WHAT!" and "OUCH" and feelings on my stomach in a knot!

So much passion and feeling. 

Amazing plot and good pace. 

Lots of answered and unanswered questions.

PERFECT setup for season 2!!! I CAN'T WAIT!

 

Last Airbender S1 - 90%

 

Great for a kids show, which is good cause I am watching it with my girls. 

First season was nice and episodic while at the same time building character and an overarching plot

Seems like people love this show... Hopefully the rest is better, though S1 is not bad. 

Surprised at the end with Zhao actually dying. 

Shitt$ Creek S2 - 90%

 

Season 2 Episode 1 may be my favorite. The image above captures it pretty well. 

Season 2 felt a little better into its stride than Season 1. 

Starting to like some aspects of each of the characters more. 

Happy Anniversary was also good. 

Amazing that they have stayed happily married through all this.
And I believe there is a strong message here:
People can stay together, even happily, regardless of circumstance.

I was surprised that a message like that could come from this show. Hopefully that doesn't change in future seasons. 

Shitt$ Creek S1 - 85%

Not really sure why we watch this... 

I liked the ideas Lego set and we had run out of stuff to watch together... 

The setup seems more like a move than a 7+ season series.

Not really into any of the characters.

But somehow almost every episode makes me laugh a little.  

 

Satisfactory 3x3

 

Playtime: 47 Hours

Watching some youtube I discovered the 3x3 challenge so I decided to give it a try... with some exceptions... I didn't want to build one single building, rather just till it was about as high as I could reach from the ground and then start a new 3x3. I built 7 pretty tall scrapers which I thought looked great! 

I wish I had done bigger buildings for the coal power. I managed to get 4 coal plants into a 3x3 and made it two tall so 8 per building. 

The tallest 3x3 building was 38 walls high for reinforced modular frames. 

I also wanted to be sure to do all the processing of everything at the main base. I really enjoyed setting up the barreling system for the oil. One fast belt going from the oil pumps with full barrels and another fast belt going back to the oil pumps with empty barrels. I gave up a bit on the 3x3 for the oil processing back at the main base. 

It was a bit frustrating how far water is from my base... I should have picked a better spot. 

The hub worked out well.
